Masala Elaichi is the BEST Indian cuisine I have ever had. The paneer pakora is fresh, hot, crunchy- very yummy! The yellow rice is delicious and they don’t skimp on whole fresh seasonings. The curry is so flavorful and rich, and the meat is fresh and very high quality. Inside, the restaurant is very cute, and the atmosphere is relaxing! Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I will be bringing my in laws in to eat here soon as well!

Hands down the best lunch special in the state. Two small curries, a pile of their amazing rice and an order of naan for 12 You really can’t beat it. The specials rotate depending on the day of the week as well so it’s always fresh, they have vegetarian options as well for the same price.

Update! Tried again and ordered a meal--what a difference! Sign said "under new management" for months--sooo, I ordered my usual--butter chicken, apps and bread--all terrific! Flavor was sublime and well cooked. Apps were generous and tasty. Nice to have a great go to for Indian cuisine. Great customer service! I ordered take out--chicken masala, butter paneer masala, chicken madras & veg pakora. Maybe it was just a bad night for me, but I ordered medium on the entrees and it was very spicy--so much I couldn't really taste the food. Veg pakora was a very generous portion--but was heavily breaded-so much so it was kinda gross. I've been going here for years--seems like new owners and I understand that they have their style of dishes--but I can't say I would want to order again. I remember a light and delicious chicken masala--creamy--not something like out of a bottle (Pataks). But if this style of dish is your jam--enjoy.

There are not many restaurants that utilize such quality ingredients, spices, and herbs to create such complex and appetizing choices on the menu. The flavors resemble quality home cooking that is very authentic. My wife and I rave about this family owned corner restaurant to everyone. These people can cook and, yes, service is great too

I ordered chicken biryani and I got yellow rice with chicken and cashews..and onions. So..it comes close to Indian food but misses the mark in authenticity. The new management keeps the place a lot brighter and cleaner, there is a lot of light inside now and the chairs are big and comfortable at some tables. The table for two is small for two people if they order different dishes. I love the traditional looking umbrellas made in India, possibly from Gujarat or Rajasthan, the decor is quite charming and listening to Indian tunes playing in their TV is relaxing. I wish Indian restaurants in Vermont would bring actual Indian chefs to cook instead it seems some are students working or people who are from South Asian descent but they are not professional chefs so the food is never going to be as good as what you get in India or even in bigger cities like New York, Dallas or Montreal.

Best Indian food I've had in a long time maybe ever. I got my go to of curry chicken with garlic naan. It is amazing! I saved some for breakfast but almost couldn't resist raiding the fridge in the middle of the night to get a snack. The owners are very nice and they even gave me a free dessert that is delicious. I dont know what it is called but I'd describe it as an Indian spiced rice pudding. I will be eating from here again for sure. Right now they are take out only but I look forward to dining in one day soon once covid is under control.

Skinader ji (propriter) and chef Sonu ji were incredible when it came to putting together a menu within my budget for a 2 day staycation celebration of a major life event with friends. We got plenty of food for 340 for 8 adults for 3 meals. They went to the extent of accommodating our request of rotis/chappathis- of course at a price-despite their busy Friday order scheudles. They generously gave us some extra rice and dessert too. In addition to the wonderful people at the store, the food is lip smackingly good. My Punjabi friend at the event gorged at the Chhole and butter chicken with tears of joy mentioning that it reminded him of food from Delhi. As vegetarians, we enjoy the paneer dishes. The tadka dal that's easy to do a sloppy job is where their mastery shines- the dal has a balanced flavour with the slightly caramelized garlic complementing the earthy taste of moong lentils that are cooked to perfection. You can tell it's a good dal when the lentils and water don't separate and yet the lentils are still individual units.
